- "Stand aside, droid, don't you know who we are?"
- ―Vane threatens a protocol droid
Vane was a male[2] Kajain'sa'Nikto pirate who was a member of Gorian Shard's gang[1] as the second-in-command.[2] During the pirate siege on Nevarro, Vane deserted Shard to save his own skin.
Biography[]
Confrontation on Nevarro[]
While on the volcanic planet Nevarro, he along with the other pirates tried to enter a school to drink which started a commotion. Greef Karga and Din Djarin shortly confronted Vane and the other pirates. Vane and his squadron attempted to shoot Djarin's starfighter down for killing several of his men. Despite losing more men, Vane was able to drive Djarin toward Captain Gorian Shard's Corsair. However, Djarin was able to escape.[1]
Pirate Siege[]
Vane, along with Gorian Shard and the rest of the gang returned to Nevarro and took control of the Nevarro City. Vane and his squadron were then sent to take care of Djarin when he attacked Shard's ship. As Vane and his squadron chased Djarin, they came under attack by Lady Bo-Katan Kryze in her fighter while their Mandalorian tribe engaged pirates on the ground. In response, Vane abandoned Shard's gang and fled.[4]
Working with Silvo[]
Sometime after abandoning Shard, Vane decided to work for Captain Silvo and his pirates during a raid on a New Republic freighter. After discovering that all the freighter contained was one Credit chip, Vane joined Brutus' mutiny against their captain.[6] Vane later found a group of children at Borgo Prime who claimed to be from At Attin.[5] Later, Vane is present when Brutus is about to execute Silvo, but the former captain convinces his former crew that he can lead them to At Attin's treasure.[7] Soon after, when Silvo killed Brutus and retook his place of captain, Vane later returned to his former captain.[8]

Vane first appeared in the first episode of the third season of the Disney+ live-action series The Mandalorian,[1] which aired on March 1, 2023.[9] The character was portrayed by Marti Matulis.[1]
