The following events took place in the year 34 ABY,[9] also known as 3311 LY according to the Lothal Calendar[7] and year 8011 in the C.R.C. calendar.[6]

- Temmin Wexley and Karé Kun are married.[10]
- Kazuda Xiono is recruited by Poe Dameron for the Resistance and is sent on a mission with BB-8.
- After searching the galaxy, the Resistance and First Order discover that Lor San Tekka is living on Jakku.[1]
- Lor San Tekka is killed by Kylo Ren.[1]
- Commander Poe Dameron receives a piece of the map that could lead to Luke Skywalker and gives it to BB-8 before being captured by the First Order and imprisoned on the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Finalizer.[1]
- Finn defects from the First Order and rescues Poe Dameron.[1]
- Han Solo and Chewbacca reacquire the Millennium Falcon.[1]
- The First Order uses their new superweapon Starkiller Base to destroy the Hosnian system and the New Republic's capital Hosnian Prime.[1]
- Rey is captured by Kylo Ren during the battle on Takodana.[1]
- The Resistance commences the Battle of Starkiller Base and ultimately destroys the superweapon.[1]
- Han Solo is killed by Kylo Ren.[1]
- Captain Phasma begins a hunt for Sol Rivas.[11]
- Rey finds Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To.[1]
- The Cold War comes to an end.[1]
- Open warfare begins between the First Order and the Resistance.[12]
- The funeral of Han Solo is held on D'Qar.[13]
- Following the destruction of Starkiller Base, the Resistance evacuates their base on D'Qar.[3]
- Amilyn Holdo sacrifices herself by ramming the MC85 Star Cruiser Raddus through the Mega-class Star Dreadnought Supremacy.[3]
- Snoke is killed by Kylo Ren, thus Ren becomes the new Supreme Leader of the First Order.[3]
- A battle is fought at Crait. Resistance forces suffer heavy losses, but core leadership escapes.[3]
- Luke Skywalker becomes one with the Force on Ahch-To.[3]
- A manhunt against the surviving members of the Resistance is conducted by the First Order under Kylo Ren, with their trail eventually leading them to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.[14][15]
- Resistance commander Venisa Doza and the Colossus' Ace Squadron breaks the First Order's blockade of Dantooine, evacuating several Resistance recruits.[16]
- Tamara Ryvora is rescued from the First Order by Kazuda Xiono and Jarek Yeager leading to a skirmish that results in the execution of Agent Tierny and the death of Commander Pyre.
